I am currently sitting in the living room of my apartment, listening to the bustle of my roommates eating dinner, chatting and listening to music. I came across this article about creating a night routine, and how night routines are just as important as morning routines. As I was reading, the article talked about something that really stuck with me: practicing gratitude. The importance of practicing gratefulness has come up a few times in my recent past, and I figured it would be a good thing to talk about. Not just good, but important.
In lieu of this, I wrote you a short list of things that I am grateful for. Believe me, I could add a lot more; these are just things on my mind tonight.
Things I’m grateful for:
- God and his huge, everlasting love for all of us
- My roommates (aka my mom’s away from home/children)
- My wonderful, supportive family
- Music and its beautiful way of making me feel all types of emotion
- Laughing
- Molly (what’s new?)
- The financial ability to go to college
- Reading (It’s one of my only escapes from my busy mind)
- Coffee (again, what’s new?)
In short, that was my list of things that I am grateful for (again, I could go on and on, but I’ll spare you). To end this post, I want to share a ted talk with you. The talk is given by a monk who talks about the fact that gratefulness leads to happiness. In order to be happy, you must be grateful.
I wish you all a wonderful week. What are you grateful for?
Until next time,
Chelsea
What a great idea to practice gratitude nightly! This is something I definitely need to get in the habit of!

Great post. What a wonderful idea. To answer your engagement question I am most grateful for God’s ability to love me despite me and for the opportunity to pursue my dream of owning my own business.
